Unlocking More Engagement
The Solution
The new app reframes home around inspiration, not search. Customers discover destinations, react to content, and shape their own feed. That signal sharpens personalisation inside the app and powers smarter targeting across email, paid, and partner channels.
The "Go Somewhere" surface.
Location-based content, typically video, plays with the destination shown. A thumbs up or thumbs down teaches the platform each customer's preferences, augmenting not just the in-app feed but every campaign, marketing asset, and recommendation downstream. Inspiration becomes signal. Onboarding and low-touch interactions feed the same loop without making customers fill in forms.
Contextual personalisation.
For customers with upcoming travel, the app reshapes itself around the trip. A flight to Japan triggers Japan-based hotels, partner content, and recommendations surfacing naturally. A Flight Price Tracker lets customers monitor fares before committing, giving the app utility even when no booking is in progress.
Phased rollout.
Phase one brings marketing deals and campaigns into the app, giving the inspiration surface immediate commercial value. Phase two opens deeper aspiration around countries, themes and things to do, where the app becomes a place customers visit because they want to travel, not just because they have to book.
These designs sit at concept stage, high-fidelity enough to make the direction tangible, deliberately not finalised. The goal at this phase is alignment: getting product, engineering, brand, and commercial leadership reading the same story before build investment is committed.
